Support
1. Under the Hazels
We offer all our trainees ongoing support during their time with us. We work in a safe inclusive space and are able to support a range of diverse ‘hand in’ materials beyond the written word.
2. Peer support
Principle 6 of the Forest School ethos is the development of a community. This happens during training as we all share new experiences and stories and celebrate our struggles and successes. All trainees support each other with their knowledge, practice experiences and new ideas. Each group forms a WhatsApp community where anyone can ask anyone for help when they need it.
3. The Forest School Association (FSA)
“The Forest School Association is the professional body and UK wide voice for Forest School, promoting and supporting best practice, cohesion and ‘quality Forest School for All’ “ the FSA website.
Because you have trained with an FSA Endorsed Trainer you will be able to access one years free annual membership to the FSA and half price membership thereafter.
The FSA website is packed with information about best practice, career opportunities and keeps you up to date with news and developments from the forest school community.
There are free webinars every Wednesday which cover a wide range of relevant topics and there is a national conference every year where you can meet like minded Forest school folk and attend a wide range of workshops. www.forestschoolassociation.org
